Advanced image processing

Since many video devices today have built-in adjustment features to modify the display, colours and so on, you may be wondering what is the point of using a video processor in your installations. Well, it's quite simple: if you install a very high-end video projector costing tens of thousands of euros but don't exploit its capabilities to the full, is the investment totally justified? Lumagen's processors offer enhanced performance compared with integrated video processing, so you can make the most of your installed equipment for exceptional viewing of all types of source material. In particular, Lumagen will satisfy film aficionados who watch films from all eras. The brand offers the best combination between content and the medium on which it is broadcast.

Each input has its own source

Lumagen processors have multiple inputs for direct connection to each source: this avoids degrading signal quality by using components adapted to each port. The Radiance Pro range offers up to ten inputs and four 4K60 UltraHD outputs. You can easily connect your projector to a DVD player and a Canal+ decoder, or a TV to the BluRay player of a PlayStation 5 and an Apple TV box. Lumagen offers full processing of 2D and 3D sources. Lumagen reads HD, 3D and 4k UHD and HDR sources, based on the anamorphic image with or without an anamorphic lens. It also optimises 16:9 content.

In-depth image processing

Lumagen goes further than other devices' settings and offers full image processing, via its own algorithm or according to your choice of settings. With its NoRing™, Color Management System technologies, Lumagen offers the best quality scaling for 1080, 720 and SD sources, for projectors and 4k TVs and exceptional colour processing. The processors support the Rec2020 colour space, HDR, adaptive HD and SD de-interlacing, and DARBEE DVP enhancement technology for HD/SD. Lumagen is also able to reduce artefacts, restore details lost during compression of digital content, and optimise the refresh rate depending on the source. Typical settings can be stored in memory for reuse/interchange.
